The photographic archive of IN.CO. S.p.A., consisting of about 6.000 black/white and colour photographs was originally conserved at the company's headquarters in Milano, and moved to Mendrisio in 2013. The archive represents an iconographic testimony on the radical innovations of major structural works around the world (bridges, viaducts, dams, port constructions, railway lines, underground railways, large civil and industrial buildings) in a period of time ranging from 1950 to 1990. The constructions reproduced in the photographs were designed by the engineer Silvano Zorzi and realized by the Italian company IN.CO. Engineers Consultants S.p.A. The photographs were taken by: G. The IN.CO. company with offices in Milan, Venice and Rome, is founded in Italy in 1961, expanding the previously existing "Studio tecnico Dott. Ing. Silvano Zorzi", in business since 1950.
Since the beginning of its activities, the consultancy company IN.CO. has chosen as its main field of activity the design and supervision of public works; IN.CO. worked in all fields of civil engineering, extending his expertise to urban, architectural, functional and plant-planning aspects.
